Popcorn Time is a free streaming app that lets you stream movies, series and TV shows. You can find different content in different categories like action, comedy, romance, adventure, drama, animation, sports, mystery and more. You can also download your favorite content for offline streaming.
It’s dedicated app can be installed on all android based devices. If you are an Android TV user, you can install Popcorn Time and stream all your favorite content on your TV screen. Although this app is not officially available on the Google Play Store, you can sideload the app using Downloader.
How to install Popcorn Time on Android TV
As mentioned earlier, there is no official app for Android T. To install it on your Android TV, you need to make some changes to your Android TV’s settings.
Turn on your Android TV and connect to a standard internet connection. On your Android TV, go to the search bar and search for Downloader. Select the Downloader application and press the Install button. Launch the download app and follow the onscreen instructions. Type browser.aftvnews.com and click the Start button.
The file will start downloading on your TV, after downloading the apk file, click install. After the installation is complete, click Finish. Now you need to enable Unknown Sources for Downloader to sideload apps from unknown sources.
Click Settings on the main screen. Select Device Preferences. Scroll down and click on the “Security and Restrictions” menu. Select Unknown Sources and slide the switch located next to Downloader.
Now your TV is ready to load apps using the Downloader app. Just enter a Popcorn Time URL, launch the Downloader app and go to the URL bar. Enter the Popcorn Time URL and click on the GO menu.
Wait until the apk file is downloaded. After downloading, click Install. Install Popcorn Time on Android TV.

Launch Popcorn Time on Android TV, back on the home screen, you can find Popcorn Time app in the Apps section. Finally, open the app and start streaming all your favorite content without restrictions.
