Who can participate in Harmony Gold Apprenticeships
Requirements to participate in Harmony Gold Apprenticeships will depend on field application. However, there are some similarities that all candidates must have. The basic requirements are as follows:
- You must be South African citizens.
- Applicants must have a valid Identity Card
- All candidates must have completed their Grade 12 / Matric (field dependent technician)
- Candidates must have a qualification within the field of application.
- Candidates must be able to communicate sufficiently in English.
- Candidates must have their own transport.
- All applicants must be medically fit.
Competencies in each field may also differ, however candidates must be able to:
- Communicate effectively at all times
- Follow all work procedures
- Submit to system practices, standards and methods at all times
- Must be prepared to do the necessary waiting duties
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times
Depending on the vacancies in the company at the time of student completion, candidates may be offered a permanent position. This is not guaranteed, but it can be offered to successful candidates.
